Sam Grierson
Sam Grierson, an award-winning writer and director, is autistic, ADHD, a parent, and gay. Creator of The Programme, a film on neurodivergence and identity, Sam’s work includes plays starring Miriam Margolyes. Winner of the 2022 Autism Hero Award, Sam also hosts Daring to be Different.
The Programme was an Official Selection at the New York International Womens Film Festival and Sykehouse Film Festival, with a nomination for best actress for Jeram. Winner of Best First Time Film Maker, London Womens Film Festival, Finalist Little Venice Film Festival, Best Thriller – Paris Cinefest Festival.
Sam Grierson has also written plays and audio plays tackling later life autism and ADHD diagnosis and queer themes starring Miriam Margolyes, Lesley Joseph, Jane Asher, Sharon Morgan, Lorraine McIntosh, Richenda Carey and Heather Peace.
Sam won the Anna Kennedy Autism Hero award for the Arts in 2022 and has a podcast ‘Daring to be Different’ where they interview neurodivergent and queer people who have stood up and made change happen. Sam is also a public speaker on Leadership, Change, Audacity and Disruption and has a successful career as a Strategy Director.
