The Plot
Charlie, a woman battling job loss, being recently dumped by her long term partner and the chaos of menopause, finds herself in the most unexpected of horrors: her own life.
Trapped in a suburban existence that feels like a stale rerun, she begins to turn inward, spiraling into self-doubt and losing touch with her once-vivid dreams. Her best friend, Sammi, who sacrificed her career to raise her kids, joins her in the struggle. Both women feel stuck in the fog of midlife, struggling with their identities while hilariously navigating the clichés of the horror genre that suddenly seems to mirror their lives.
As strange events unfold around Charlie, creaking doors, eerie reflections, and ominous whispers that sound suspiciously like her inner critic, she starts to believe her house is haunted. With Sammi by her side, the duo fights back, parodying horror tropes a plenty.
